There needs to be institutions and programs in schools about the harms of bleaching. Early interventions are important.

If you’re really want to stop bleaching you have to limit the amount of lighskinned ppl media they consume and give ppl with darker skin more good representation. Just talking about the harm is not gonna make ppl stop bleaching(look at Asia). There is reason the bleaching industry exploded after ppl started to consume too much Bollywood movies back home.

True but Somalia also doesn’t even have something that you can call a film industry and Somalis also consume a lot of foreign media and have you ever been on somali YouTube? Filled with bleaching demons and that’s what Somalis are consuming 24/7 and Somalis also care a lot about their promixity to Arabs and that means that they also wanna look like them. Honestly blk ppl in general are cursed with sheep mentality always only worshipping anyone but their own group.

You mean Taxanaha Mahuraan? I’d say shows like that are outliers tbh, that show itself is trying to push back against the common trend of having really lightskin (usually bleached) female leads.
