In fact after the military coup the banana exports declined and lost any importance. However good for Somalia if they slowly recover and start to export something else than Livestock.

Your title was misleading. It is not a multi billion dollar Industry in the case of Somalia and it is very unlikely that it will become one in the near future. Be realistic. I just highlighted for you that even in the time of stability it was not close to become multi billion dollar economical sector and today the circumstances are way harder.
