I was being conservative. Accordinng to Americas Federal research division[1992] the Somalian national army SNA was estimated to be 65k+ by the end of 1990. 70% of them were stationed in Isaaq territory. That's 45,000 SNA troops

Additional to the 45,000 SNA troops that were stationed in Isaaq lands. The paramilitary wing of faqash known as the guulwadeyaal were estimated at 10k. Many of whom operated in present day Somaliland

Additional to the 45,000 SNA, and 10,000 Boon faqash. Siad barre formed military junta groups to fight Isaaq by using upto 50,000 ogaden refugees. They formed Dabar goynta Isaaq(The isaaq exterminators)

Gadabuursi elders also formed a paramilitary junta that was armed and equipped by the pagan government to fight Isaaq.

As I said. Barre used all his funding from America to fight the Isaaq.

All that man power went to waste. SNM was simply uncontested and Isaaq did what no somali tribe can do. We fought a well armed and manned government army along with various paramilitary junta comprising of isaaq faqash militias. This is what it means to be laandheer, wealthy and lion hearted
