Our ancestors cared about the ecosystem and didn't want our camels and goats being chow for the lions and hyenas, it's a shame we haven't kept that but instead venerated graves up until the last 30 years.

Yeah it's crazy people still do, it's a common occurance for nomadic people, placing your roots to a certain area you pass each year.

Funny enough, most my Somali friends during school were all excellent archers and javelin throwers, should be pushing that for internation events, alongside long distance running.

Good for them its Sunnah ,archery requires lot of focus . In the Olympics certain countries(South Korea) dominates this sport not just of their practice in historical terms but they have invest lot money into it. .

It would be sick if archery, wrestling centres are started as activities in Somalia. Somalia is one of the few places in the world where you see 19 year old sitting around drinking tea in their spare time with Elders.
