It's very strange for Somali men to have a fish flue.

Oh wait, fish is going to be an important cuisine for Somalis in the near future due to our longest coast in Africa with billions of untapped fish.
:tocry:

Yo my family eats seafood all the time, is it really that unheard of for Somali families?

Side note, Bengalis are cool af my favorite Desis. They make a cute couple m’A

Only Somali clans that live in the coastal areas in Somaliland eat fish and my sub-clan of SM and some Gadabursi are agricultural people. That's the only thing I know about the north.

You've stated many things here before that makes your family unique. Owning a plantation farm, and eating seafood. That's interesting and different m'A.

My ancestors were geeljires, with a geeljire culture. They detested seafood.

My story is not uncommon really, it’s just that the idea of Somalis being nomads is pushed as the only picture. We need geeljires to defend our lands and the rest of us to produce goods. Circle of life.

Lobster and rice. Don't get me wrong, I have the same mind as you abaayo. I want Somalis to diverify their lifestyle, food and etc.

It's a blessing we have people who think like you.

We live in modern times. The benefits of being a geeljire and acting like one is very little. Agriculture, adopting new diets like seafood, and changing old mindsets is required for most somalis.
