I read somewhere that the airforce used to actual protect our territorial air across the republic.

When planes without clearance from xamar entered our air space they used to sent a fighter jet to order the plane to land at xamar International.

The pilots then went to court and received a verdict. They payed the fines and went on.

Those days where totally different than what the military has going on today sadly.

We could’ve won the 1977 war if we spent a few more years modernizing our Airforce. Our ground & Army troops were already top notch. Somalia should’ve invested in more bomber planes to take out & disable Ethiopian aircrafts and runways before the start of the war.
