How is that even justice. How do we even know that it "WAS" this soldier that killed the civilian when the "trial" and execution is so rushed
Good question.
The killing happened in broad daylight in a busy location where there were many shacab that witnessed the killing. Second of all after the killing the soldier tried to do a runner and the shacab caught him and handed him in to the police. Basically he was caught red handed.
In essence I agree with your point that and that is what usually happens. But the circumstances of this case as a I explained where different and allowed justice to be served in a short and swift time period.
Also what usually longs out the process is the family of the deceased deciding whether they want capital punishment or Diya payment. This family on the other hand immediatly asked for capital punishment to be carried out which sped up the process.
Also this soldier is from the same subclan of the president of SWS laftagareen the clan of Hariin. Which shows that in Baidoa it doesn't matter if you are "laandheere" or "laangaab" if you commit a crime you will be prosecuted.
