I am not American. This is first time I heard about her. I shared this thread because I agree with ron Paul
Dont agree with ron paul. He is a nut case. Since he was beaten up by his neighbor, he has been voting senate in a crazy way. lately, he was the only republican not to vote for funds put aside for 911 fire res-ponders who have cancer. His libertine belief has no switch off
don't worry she has no chance in American politics.

Bernie sounds like a complete madman
Biden is practically a corpse
I think Warren might get it. I can’t see any other viable candidate
I couldn't disagree more.
Learn the difference between Social Democracy and Socialism.
Social Democracy is a free-market economy and social programs that provide certain goods and services which are essential for our survival. This way, it does not get corrupted by the profit motive inherent in the private sector.

By any means, Donald Trump ain’t gonna win re-election.
Elizabeth Warren will be the next president. As soon as the economy slows down (and it will), Trump’s popularity would crater and she’s the only somewhat sane candidate in the race. She will win. Biden has no chance and Bernie is insane
And Warren will be 10x worse than Woodrow Wilson—one of the worst Presidents in history. A University professor who thinks she has a plan for everything, who wants to spend a lot of money and tax a lot and centralize the economy.
Upti, Profit is a good thing.
I’m sure the fact that you can buy cheap consumer products benefited your life, so why the hell do you care if someone earns a profit in doing so?
You need more profit in a system, not less. Anytime the government takes over, shit doesn’t work. Look at how terribly educated high school kids are, despite education funding tripling since Jimmy Carter was president. Use your brain, f*ck socialism, it doesn’t work. It makes countries poorer and these Western countries have used the United States as a crutch, in terms of military spending and technological innovation that comes from a ton of capital and less government. If the US goes in the direction of the Europeans or Canada it will NOT WORK. Live in reality
It's rich you're posting this while living in Canada, a "socialist hellhole" according to most US politicians and especially those on the right like Ron Paul.
You clearly believe in unfettered Laissez-Faire capitalism and your beliefs seems to be most inline with what is status quo in the US. The most effective way of voting as they say is voting with your feet. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and immigrate to the US? Leave the socialist dump that is Canada and join the glorious, prosperous, Land of the Free™, and Home of the Brave™.
Normally I ignore or laugh at Lolbertarians and their quacky, hair-brained ideas and rambling. I then go about my day. But something like living in a country that recognizes the benefits of a public healthcare system and other goods that are vital to the fabric of a developed country, while calling for and supporting policies that have failed again and again and have only served to enrich the few while damaging countless innocents, is outrageous enough that I feel inclined to post.
This sort of proves how shallow your thinking is. There’s no way in hell that I like the status quo that exists in America, you make America look like it’s some anarcho-capitalist utopia.
I mean, government interventions are why surgeries cost so much in America, school costs are inflated, and housing in some cities are ridiculously expensive.
So no, I can’t stand the status quo.
Don’t get into arguments about things you know nothing about.
Maybe you should take some time and understand Rand Paul’s logic. Taxation is theft, and it requires government officials forcing you to forfeit some of your income. If Bernie decides he wants to jack up your taxes to fund this public healthcare plan, then yes it is a form of slavery.
You danced around the question. Whether America is "anarcho-capitalist" or not is besides the point. The point is that out of the entire developed world, it is by far the closest to that model. Why haven't you voted with your feet and immigrated there, especially to a state with no state taxes like Texas? Why do you continue reside in and benefit from a socialist hellhole and it's enslavement of doctors?
Oh, and while we're at it, why has there been no country in the world has tried your anarcho-capitalist utopia? Why are there no respected economists or serious thinkers with academic prestige have endorsed any of these ideas? Is it a conspiracy? The conspiracy theory has to come in somewhere with you lolbertarians. And FYI, I don't consider the Chicago school of xaar to be a credible institution and neither does academia and the private sector.
Are you smoking that OCS shit my dude. Out of all the developed, post-industrialized countries in the world, the US is the only country with no public healthcare system that insures all its citizens for basic care. In other words, it is by far the closest system to your ideal anarcho-capitalist fantasy. And yet, it has been documented in countless studies to be the most wasteful and expensive per-capita.
Business Insider: The average cost of healthcare in 21 different countries
Seeking Alpha: US healthcare spending nearing 20% of GDP
Noticed how I cite two business-focused sites that are right-leaning and against a public healthcare option. In other words, fake news and conspiracy theories won't get you out this one.
Key points:
- Despite leading the world in healthcare spending, the U.S. lags other developed countries in many major measures of health, including life expectancy, the incidence of diabetes, heart disease, respiratory disease and infant mortality.
- Consolidation in hospitals have given them more clout to demand higher prices from insurers. For example, in markets with monopoly hospitals, the cost of a lower limb MRI is over 23% more than markets with at least four hospitals.
- The percentage of S&P 500 revenues reported by healthcare companies has risen from 4% in 1985 to almost 16% last year (the profit percentage would be more informative considering consolidation within the sector).
This is what your cute little anarcho-capitalism leads to in the modern, real world. Monopolies/Duopolies/Oligopolies that dominate the market and gobble all competition or form cartels that engage in price-fixing. These artificial distortions are products of our modern economy and need to be regulated. This is precisely why your anarcho-capitalist fetish is the law of the jungle. It may work fine for a tiny hunter-gatherer society where accumulation of assets is impractical, but in modern society it leads to massive marketplace failures, perverse incentives, rampant collusion and fraud. Ever heard of Enron/WorldCom/Lehman Brothers? What will save the investing public from crooked company execs. cooking the books? Inb4 the accounting version of "nonaggression principle". Lol.
And I don't have the time to completely refute your other nonsense about housing prices being absurdly high and schools being bad being the consequence of US federal government intervention. You don't understand basic economics and that's where all of this ignorance is coming from. For example, US schools are not funded by the federal government or even state governments. They are funded by local property taxes at the municipal level.
I knew you were either going to go with the "taxation is theft" or "social security is a ponzi scheme" rant as if these are revolutionary and groundbreaking ideas. Simply, taxation is not theft. It is the price you pay to participate in a given society, whether as an individual or as a corporation. If you enjoy roads, environmental protections, and perhaps most importantly, stability provided by military protection from foreign aggressors. You don't want to pay that tax? Feel free to leave. No one is compelling you to stay.
