well if he does it again you should report him to someone and you shouldn't care about the reasons he does what he is doing whether it is that he misses you or that he loves you, it doesn't excuse that what he is doing is creepy asf.
he is harassing which is an offence which means the police have to do something about it.
I hope the situation gets better.
