This is highly unlikely.
Somalia's population is growing at more than 3% per year, but the economy has not achieved 3% economic growth in a long time.
Somalia's GDP per capita has been in decline.
It is hard to believe that poverty declined in the meantime.

This is a credible report. The survey method appears to be up to snuff.
The only explanation that comes to mind for the decline in the poverty rate is that the initial poverty survey overestimated poverty.
Somalia is still shockingly poor when considering the average person's consumption.
It is better than I had imagined, but not by much. Some good news is better than no good news though.
