Someone like shariif would have checkpoints at the entry points to the neighbourhood giving no opportunity for any attackers unlike the sarkaal who literally lived on a main road where he couldn't block any roads or build proper defences. Imo the sarkaal should have picked a more defensible location to live in.

Shouldn’t the sarkaal have known better? He is a military man after all and shariif is a politician. Why would Sayid Cali need to go through all that trouble being an abgaal sarkaal in xamar? Is there targeting going on or is it just generally unsafe in the city?
