I was 18 when i left Islam due to its faulty basis. I noted, however, that the religion is modernising. Due to Arabic not being spoken in many muslim countries, Islam essentially becomes a cultural icon like how latin made Christianity an icon.

I expect over the next 2-4 centuries Islamic countries will further use Islam as a nationalistic symbol rather then strict political system.
