The mayor or shadow mayor have the power to tell all residents when to go to bed, when to turn the lights off.

Thats the kind power you can flex when you have 13 councillors, and the largest minority group has only 7. But you have to use it wisely, show them kindness.

Due to this overwhelming power, HJ could have decided to take both governor and mayor positions. I bet you did not know that.

Burco 75% HJ, remember 2010 elections 73% Kulmiye Silanyo's landslide.

2017 elections most HJ never bothered registering in the election because there was no HJ presidential candidate and yet in Burco Kulmiye won 50k votes of HJ while Waddani got 40k votes, which at least 20% of the vote came from Ahmed Farah because of Xirsi Gaab.

There is no such thing as East Burco, HJ dominated Burco in large numbers in every corner, from East all the way to North Jaaliyadda and wadadda Berbera, from south Gaha, qasabka and beyond to south West.
