If the SSC went all the way to Burco they'd attracted the backlash of the IC and FGS, SL at that time already ruined their reputation, lost huge equipment, many soldiers died and many others became PoW. That was enough

You're right. SSC best shot is to constantly be ready for any attack and respond in time. SL won't stop till they're ability to attack is exhausted.
