HSM will tactically support Madobes consolidation of power in JL by ignoring Gedo. However he won't bother sending military or any other direct military aid to take over Gedo.

However the PM of FGS might support JL underhandedly, we should note that Kismaayo only has access to 2 million dollars per year in tax revenue(a pittance). If this increases through FGS investment i expect Gedo to willingly join.

According to the UN, Madoobe raised $21.3 million revenue through Kismayo port last year. Second to Puntland which raised $62.4 million revenue. There is no money that FGS can invest, vast majority of their money goes towards expenses.

It’s a fairytale to think Madoobe can take over Gedo when he can’t even take over Lower Juba except Afmadow and Kismayo.
