kkk whilst some conspiracy theories have some basis in terms of there being clear intervention from some higher organisations. They are not all interlinked. The woman posted was just batshit insane period. What I don't like about a lot of these conspiracies is that they link all of it to some occult being like satan. My atheism is diametrically opposed to satanism. :mjlol:
The early ’90s there was a rash of legal cases, involving pedophiles and psychopathic deviants who had pledged their allegiance to Satan.

Organizations, like Believe the Childrenand the Cult Awareness Network stared long into this abyss and some would say became cults, themselves. Interestingly the producer of “In the Name of Satan,†and author of a book by the same title, Bob Larson, markets neither from his website today. Does he still behind the arguments made in this expose’ or did he get too close to the truth and was he scared off the trail?

Although many cases of Satanic pedophilia were and are horribly true, a “Satanic panic” during this time swept California, in particular, resulting in a hoard of bogus child molestation convictions by over-zealous prosecutors, who had coached their child witnesses into convicting their parents, as in the cases of the Kern County sexual abuse cases.

Which conspiracies do you ascribe to?

The human mind is prone to seeing patterns in everything, even in random things, and that's what makes it tend towards conspiracy. If you're a believer, the facilitator of all evil = satan, so he naturally becomes the culprit.

The existence of so-called Satan makes zero sense to begin with

Im certain that a lot of crooked individuals sought out The devil/ lucifer and satanism as a figure head to guide their sexual deviancy. However that can also be flipped. A lot of spiritual figureheads sought out satan as a form of spiritual inspiration. For example Albert Pike, a freemasonry figurehead of the 19th century. He was considered quite the controversial individual in the order.

“Lucifer, the Light-bearer! Strange and mysterious name to give to the Spirit of Darkness! Lucifer, the Son of the Morning! Is it he who bears the Light, and with its splendors intolerable, blinds feeble, sensual, or selfish souls? Doubt it not!”

"Comments around the quote usually say that Lucifer is praised here as a Light-Bearer of freemasonry. But most of the time the quote is considered to be so self-explanatory that it is given without comments. Apparently I started looking for what another party has to say. I was able to find only feeble and indirect defence. Masonic defenders say that Pike was an Episcopal Christian, that he was interested in all kinds of spiritual knowledge, that his leadership was limited with a only few states, that his books are not a dogma for freemasonry and are not in official use since 1974, etc. They also complain that A.Pike is a controversial figure who did damage to freemasonry and offer awkward explanations about how the word ‘Lucifer’ can be understood. This kind of defence seems only to confirm the fact itself that A.Pike was flirting with dark forces."

Albert Pike - "We shall unleash the Nihilists and the Atheists". Food for thought. :dabcasar:

Thats definitely true. There is nothing more invigorating than reaffirming your belief systems. It can be terrible because you can fall into an area of intellectual dishonesty and biases. Totally natural. I "believe" in the war on drugs conspiracy theory with the whole crack cocaine epidemic and other secondary effects like the destruction of the family, 9/11 conspiracy theory and the current future balkanisation of the somali peninsula. Other couple of others.

:ahh: That was his main goal. And I fell for it. :duck::lolbron:. Nah but foreal though, a lot of these masons were atheists/agnostics themselves. they just believed that having a sense of spirituality would benefit them in terms of humanity. Its why they abandoned their christian churches and built a foundation of their own. Spirituality can definitely be an excellent tool for self improvement.

What is Thelema?
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Thelema ("They-LEE-mah" or "They-LEH-mah") is a Greek word meaning "will" or "intention". It is also the name of a new spiritual philosophy which has arisen over the past several hundred years and is now gradually becoming established worldwide. One of the earliest mentions of this philosophy occurs in the classic Gargantua and Pantagruelwritten by Francois Rabelais in 1532. One episode of this epic adventure tells of the founding of an "Abbey of Thelema" as an institution for the cultivation of human virtues, which Rabelais identified as being squarely opposite the prevailing Christian proprieties of the time. The sole rule of the Abbey of Thelema was: "Do what thou wilt". This has become one of the basic tenets of Thelemic philosophy today. Although touched upon by various prominent visionary thinkers in the following few hundred years, the seeds of Thelema sown by Rabelais eventually came to fruition in the early part of this century when developed by an Englishman named Aleister Crowley. Crowley was a poet, author, mountaineer, magician, and member of the occult society known as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. In 1904, while traveling in Egypt with his wife Rose, Crowley became inextricably involved in a series of events which he claimed to inaugurate a new aeon of human evolution. These culminated in April when Crowley entered a state of trance and wrote down the three chapters of 220 verses which came to be called The Book of the Law (also known as Liber AL and Liber Legis). Among other things, this book declared: "The word of the law is Thelema" and "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law". Crowley spent the rest of his life developing the philosophy of Thelema as revealed by the Book of the Law. The result was a voluminous output of commentary and works relating to magick, mysticism, yoga, qabalah, and other occult subjects. Virtually all of this writing bears the influence of Thelema as interpreted and understood by Crowley in his capacity as prophet of the New Aeon. One theory holds that each chapter of the Book of the Law is associated with a particular aeon of human spiritual evolution. According to this view, Chapter One characterizes the Aeon of Isis, when the archetype of female divinity was paramount. Chapter Two relates to the Aeon of Osiris, when the archetype of the slain god became prominent, and the world’s patriarchal religions became established. Chapter Threeheralds the dawning of a new aeon, the Aeon of Horus, the child of the Isis and Osiris. It is in this new aeon that the philosophy of Thelema will be fully revealed to humanity, and will become established as the primary paradigm for the spiritual evolution of the species. Some of the essential elements of belief in Thelema are:

"Every man and every woman is a star."
This is usually taken to mean that each individual is unique and has their own path in a spacious universe wherein they can move freely without collision.
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." and "thou hast no right but to do thy will."
Most Thelemites hold that every person possesses a True Will, a single overall motivation for their existence. The Law of Thelema mandates that each person follow their True Will to attain fulfillment in life and freedom from restriction of their nature. Because no two True Wills can be in real conflict (according to "Every man and every woman is a star"), this Law also prohibits one from interfering with the True Will of any other person. The notion of absolute freedom for an individual to follow his or her True Will is a cherished one among Thelemites. This philosophy also recognizes that the main task of an individual setting out on the path of Thelema is to first discover his or her True Will, giving methods of self-exploration such as magick great importance. Furthermore, every True Will is different, and because each person has a unique point-of-view of the universe, no one can determine the True Will for another person. Each person must arrive at the discovery for themselves.

The Secret Doctrine
by H. P. Blavatsky — Vol. 2

because of their rebellion against Karmic Law. The “fall of man” was no fall, for he was irresponsible. But “Creation” having been invented on the dualistic system as the “prerogative of God alone,” the legitimate attribute patented by theology in the name of an infinite deity of their own making, this power had to be regarded as “Satanic,” and as an usurpation of divine rights. Thus, the foregoing, in the light of such narrow views, must naturally be considered as a terrible slander on man, “created in the image of God,” a still more dreadful blasphemy in the face of the dead-letter dogma. “Your doctrine,” the Occultists were already told, “makes of man, created out of dust in the likeness of his God, a vehicle of the Devil, from the first.” “Why did you make of your god a devil — both, moreover, created in your own image?” is our reply. The esotericinterpretation of the Bible, however, sufficiently refutes this slanderous invention of theology; the Secret Doctrine must some day become the just Karma of the Churches — more anti-Christian than the representative assemblies of the most confirmed Materialists and Atheists.

The old doctrine about the true meaning of the “Fallen Angels,” in its anthropological and evolutionary sense, is contained in the Kabala,

Vol. 2, Page 229 THE MYSTERIES AMONG THE MAYAS.
and explains the Bible. It is found pre-eminent in Genesis when the latter is read in a spirit of research for truth, with no eye to dogma, and in no mood of preconception. This is easily proven. In Genesis (vi.) the “Sons of God” — Bne Aleim — become enamoured of the daughters of men, marry, and reveal to their wives the mysteries unlawfully learnt by them in heaven, according to Enoch; and this is the “Fall of Angels.”* But what is, in reality, the “Book of Enoch” itself, from which the author of Revelation and even the St. John of the Fourth Gospel have so profusely quoted? (e.g., verse 8, in chapter 10, about all who have come before Jesus, being “thieves and robbers.”) Simply a Book of Initiation, giving out in allegory and cautious phraseology the programme of certain archaic mysteries performed in the innertemples. The author of the “Sacred Mysteries among the Mayas and Quiches” very justly suggests that the so-called “Visions” of Enoch relate to his (Enoch’s) experience at initiation, and what he learned in the mysteries; while he very erroneously states his opinion that Enoch had learned them before being converted

Footnote(s) ———————————————
* In general, the so-called orthodoxChristian conceptions about the “fallen” angels or Satan, are as remarkable as they are absurd. About a dozen could be cited, of the most various character as to details, and all from the pen of educated lay authors, “University graduates” of the present quarter of our century. Thus, the author of “Earth’s Earliest Ages,” J. H. Pember, M.A., devotes a thick volume to proving Theosophists, Spiritualists, Metaphysicians, Agnostics, Mystics, poets, and every contemporary author on oriental speculations, to be the devoted servants of the “Prince of the Air,” and irretrievably damned. He describes Satan and his Antichrist in this wise: —

“Satan is the ‘Anointed Cherub’ of old. . . . God created Satan, the fairest and wisest of all his creatures in this part of His Universe, and made him Prince of the World, and of the Power of the Air. . . . He was placed in an Eden, which was both far anterior to the Eden of Genesis. . . . and of an altogether different and more substantial character, resembling the New Jerusalem. Thus, Satan being perfect in wisdom, and beauty, His vast empire is our earth, if not the whole solar system. . . . Certainly no other angelic power of greater or even equal dignity has been revealed to us. The Archangel Michael himself is quoted by Jude as preserving towards the Prince of Darkness the respect due to a superior, however wicked he may be, until God has formally commanded his deposition.” Then we are informed that “Satan was from the moment of his creation surrounded by the insignia of royalty” (!!): that he “awoke to consciousness to find the air filled with the rejoicing music of those whom God had appointed . . . .” Then the Devil “passes from the royalty to his priestly dignity” (!!!) “Satan was also a priest of the Most High,” etc., etc. And now — “Antichrist will be Satan incarnate” (pp. 56-59). The Pioneers of the coming Apollyon have already appeared — they are the Theosophists, the Occultists, the authors of the “Perfect Way,” of “Isis Unveiled,” of the “Mystery of the Ages,” and even of the “Light of Asia”!! The author notes the “avowed origin” (of Theosophy) from thedescending angels,” from the “Nephilim,” or the angels of the VIth ch. of Genesis, and the Giants. He ought to note his own descent from them also, as the present Secret Doctrine endeavours to show — unless he refuses to belong to the present humanity.
