Sxb, you will be shocked to see at the amount of young teenage mothers pulling children on prams in Melbourne and most of them speak like those in the video. Even if they were older siblings, who did they learn to treat their baby sibling like this? Where is the father and why is the mother sleeping? Maybe, he has done his cultural duties of populating the clan, left them and is on his next wife. I find it hard to believe it but if she did, she should be honoured from saving that child from further cruelty. You can’t fathom and feel the pain of the baby, but instead you would prefer them not to be arrested and the subjugation of pain on that poor baby to continue.

I heard someone (not in Australia) alerted the local cops to that post and then, they asked Snapchat their I.P on the pretext of a child abuse complaint. However, these two should be made as an example that your child has rights and protections which no parent can break it and accordingly, should be locked up.

I think the underlying issue here, we Somalis culturally believe corporal punishment to be the best method of chastising children when they misbehave and that’s why you hear them taunting the authorities (child-welfare & the cops) saying, ‘you can’t tell us how to raise or treat our children’. Most Somali families who lost their children are due to corporal punishments and yet, the torch of violence against children is now passed to those who were abused by their families and thereby physically abusing their children. The abuse aka violence continues....followed by, the “infidels” took our children and want to convert them to Christianity..... Nacasiin.
