Rawan was forced to lie about practicing 'sex jihad' (one of the many propaganda tactics used by Bashar Assad to smear his opposition) in an interview with Assad-run media because her her father is a well-known insurgent and dissident against Bashar Assad. In order to get him to hand himself over to the regime, they kidnapped her and forced her to conduct this interview (she was kidnapped and made to lie, she didn't lie first and then get kidnapped). That's why she looks so stiff in this interview and half-hearted, with her eyes looking just about everywhere else except the camera. No emotion in her voice, even though she's suppose to be recalling a very tragic moment in her life. Only simpletons would believe such an interview to be genuine.
