I don’t think he was the type to accept Jesus as his lord and savior in his heart but for weapons and defense he was willing to say whatever. The Americans were far right socially at time of regan and bush sr so that’s probably where that came from.

Siyad Barre,

A dictator who allowed:

-his clansmen to rob the national bank
-ordered the murder of sheikhs
-approved the rape of civilians
-approved the murder of civilians
-approved the bombing of civilians
-approved deliberate starvation of civilians
-Took sides in petty clan battles
-Tried to change Islamic rules
-Used the state military to displace and land-grab
-poisoned water wells and massacred defenceless innocent civilians
-Looted much of the country
-Instigated and played clans against each other

Anyone surprised?

Some Somalis see this man as some revolutionary or rebel (Mainly his sub clan) when in reality he really was a lying, scamming, cuck, insecure bag of garbage.

To be honest, Siad Barre was the greatest somali leader of all time from 1969 to 1977

And he was the worst somali leader of all time from 1977-1991

He was never great, he has no accomplishments or legacy except that of filth. Somalia wasn’t an impressive nation either, it was a communist shithole and only relied on Aid. He overthrew a good democracy when he had no right to. The only one’s who benefited from his dictatorship was his impoverished sub clan who looted the state resources and eventually ran the country down. Siyad Barre was a failure and the worst thing that happened in our history.

We went down hill after the war in 1977, I sometimes wish I can go back and warn our people to save the country :)
