Shower Thought: how come SOmalis didnt adopt Pizza if they had already taken Pasta and Rice from the Italians??

This smacked me in the head mentally when I thought about it. Just imagine Camel Cheese pizza with banana slices Heavenly

Somalis didn't adopt rice from Italians lol we ate it for at least 2000 years!

As for pasta, there is some evidence a form of it was eaten in Benadir before the Italians but people mass adopted the Somali version of pasta e sugo

Pizza is Neapolitan, not pan-Italian. Same reason why we didn’t pick up any other localised Italian dish
