Say you’re exclusively dating someone, you’re not at the engagement stage yet but getting there. Then you get to know another person and realize that they’re a better match for you than the person youre with? And you start dating them as well and end up leaving your current relationship for them? Would you consider it cheating or dishonest even though you weren’t married or even engaged to the first person?

As in boyfriend and girlfriend so a haram relationship or a potential for marriage that you are having talks with?

In both not really you don't have any loyalty until you get engaged/agree to get married but I'm the first scenario it's just dumb and haram why waste your time and potential especially if you wanna get married.

Textbook definition of cheating. It’s probs in the best interest to be talking to multiple ppl to see who’s best suited for you but you can’t be doing that while telling someone that u guys r “exclusively dating”. Basically playing them.
