Actually the Danish government has stopped accepting Somali qaxotis because according to the UN it's not officially a war zone anymore, but the Danish government have accepted a lot of Eritrean refugees due to the fact that the Eritrean government is seen as oppressive.

I know of so many Somalis whos applications have been turned down, but.loads of Eritreans ha e been accepted. Its a new dawn for Somali tahribs.

Ironically, Eritrea is more developed than Somaliland. Asmara looks better than most Somali cities.

Somalia wasn't a communist country. It was a social one. Most countries are basically to some degree socialist. Even the USA.

In the early 90s it wasn't clear that Somalia would have go into decades of anarchy. Most people thought it was temporary. At least my parents did.

Somalia was the same as Cuba or the USSR.

There was alot of food rationing going on. My parents have told me there were long lines to get food and you were not allowed to go to any other store except the few you were authorised to go to otherwise you would be imprisoned. There were only an X number of bread or beans you were allowed to have during the week. Ask your parents.

Somalis who left before 1991 are traitors.

The best are those who remained to the bitter end and got out when the regime collapsed (1991-1994). :gnzbryw:

Lol, I wasn't born in Somalia. I merely said my parents left after Barre's regime collapsed. So I can't be a fob.

In the city I grew up the only Somalis who lived there before the 90s were all Somalilanders. Probably left after the '88 Hargeisa bombings.

Not mine. My mother's fam came as guest workers in the early 70's along with a bunch of Yemenis (lived in Yemen). Then my father came alone in the 80's.

Are there many Somalis in Germany?

Somali Guest workers to Scandinavia? Never heard of such cases. How did that happen? Thought they only recruited from the Mediterranean countries.

All rich European countries have thousands of Somalis. Just a bit less than Scandinavia.

It's true. My parents left in the mid 80s and the government cancelled their passports when they arrived in N.America. My dad lied and said he was visiting a cousin in Buffalo, New York. They authorized this visit. They fled for their lives from the Communist regime. They walked to the Canadian border at Niagara Falls with only the clothes on their clothes in sub zero temperatures. They were picked up good Samaritans afterwards and taken to the shelter.

Any means necessary to flee the Communist nation of the Somali Republic.

It was harder to leave the country before because you needed permission to get passport from officals in xamar. They didn't want organized opposition from the outside so they kept a tight leash on everybody but people still use to sneak out mostly through Djibouti to khaleej.

Didn't you also say that no one had any birth records prior to the '80s?

Methinks the info your parents are a lil exaggerated.

My whole family had to work. Back when Denmark was hard. Mother had to take care of school and work, the same with my aunts even though they were all young as hell
:kendrickcry:
Grandfather even injured his back working at a warehouse. Now all these refugees from Syria, Eritrea get everything for free. Unfair
:mjcry:

No one had Somalia passports pre 91? Is this what you're saying?

How did you get that from what I just said?

You said previously that no ones parents really know they're birth date, because there were no birth records til the late 80s.

Anyways nvm
