Japan has an intricate clan system similar to that of Somalia and has managed to be a productive nation today. During the Sengoku period, Japan was in a constant civil war between 1467 to 1615. That's 148 years. The Sengoku period was initiated by the Ōnin War in 1467 which collapsed the feudal system of Japan under the Ashikaga Shogunate. How long have we been unstable? 30-40 years counting and could continue until who knows when. The Somali civil war looks like childplay compared to the Japanese one.
I think at this point Somalia should voluntarily ask Japan to colonize it. The Japanese survived a 148 year civil war, they could easily handle Moryaans and corrupt tribal elders. I am writing a letter of plea to Japan as we speak. In the meantime, I'm learning Mandarin to keep our options open.
