Should somalia have a nationalist youth party

Should we enjoin the youth of both the diaspora and Somalia to form a conglomeration of an educated elite class with Somalia's best interests at heart and fill up the future government with dependable people we can trust with our resources? I just think that much like the Jews, we should also have an educated and socially aware diaspora that would figuratively speaking bleed for our nation at any moment's notice.

Why should only the corrupt odays and their families have a monopoly on Somalia? What do you guys think?

So basically the Young Turks? Educated Balkan Turks guiding the Anatolian masses? I guess it could work, but the Young Turks were made of expelled European Muslims. I doubt enough Somalis would go back willingly to Somalia considering how comfortable the West is.

I'd personally like to see something like Muhammadiyah in Indonesia. A non-political modern socioreligious organization focused on development, reforming social ills like extreme tribalism/khat, constantly denouncing khawarij, etc, that has a very strong presence on social medias like N&N did.

Create a modern, moral and religious elite culture and let that disseminate down to the masses.

That depends on the government's willingness to welcome diaspora Somalis. I'd go back to work if they implemented Norway's policies and the UAE and invested in their diaspora and locals with the oil funds. Just offering a Higher pay and paid accommodation and no taxes would reel in most young folk.

A programme that encourages degree holders to teach students in schools would also be beneficial and could help us to achieve a higher HDI within the next decade. If anyone knows someone in government in Somalia then recommend this!!

I think Somalia needs an entirely autonomous city that's safe, well planned, with more functional institutions that will create better demand throughout the rest of Somalia for a better justice system, political system, etc.

Just 1 pocket of Somalia thats at a Balkan level of development would have a huge impact on aligning incentives for various actors to see the bigger picture, but there needs to be that reference point first. It'd also mean far more diaspora involvement in the country instead of us mostly just assimilating into various host countries

Think Hong Kong-Mainland China, Singapore-Malaysia. Somalia really needs to create that sort of a symbiotic relationship. A place where Somalis just go to make money. In the long run, the tax revenue the FGS would get would outstrip any other investment they could make, so pooling all development projects into the city instead of infrastructure in the middle of nowhere would be justified.

Yes, but how to spot the ones who are corrupted from amongst us so they can’t sabotage the group? That would be my biggest issue. There’s relatively educated young people who think like the people in the government. That are only looking out for their own self interests.

Joing this sort of group is sort of inviting chaos and destruction into one’s life. Going to Somalia would be so risky cause you’ll have many visible and hidden enemies.

We need a manifesto. Outline the economic and social plan for the next 10 years. Everything from how the state will be using tax money and what services can be provided with that money. Also how we'll transition the nation from sudo feudal system of 4.5 to a democratic system of 1m1v. Constitution reforms and reestablishing a comprehensive system to prevent corruption.

With how much of Somaliweyn’s population is young men/youth, this day will come sooner than you think. All we need is educated and nationalistic Somalis to lead them.
