Nationalism would absolutely fail especially in Africa.

The problem with that is most of Africa are artificial states that have existed for 50 years or so. Most of them have at some point have civil strife so nationalism can not work in Africa cause they don't feel apart of the same nation but instead their ethnicity. What is the alternative? In my opinion it's wholesale disarmament of the populace, education and international bodies to oversee these things.

You could argue Hinduism & Shintoism are also sort of Ethno-religions as well.
siayad barre didn't make nationalism a deeply ingrained belief and he didn't get rid of islam either
You're several centuries too late to spread your ultra-nationalist religion, most Somalis in Somalia will be actively against your Anti-Islam stance & the very few Somalis who aren't interested in religion at all will likely not be into nationalism, since more people are becoming increasingly globalised & less patriotic in general across the World.
