Should boys and girls be raised the same?

I was watching this Jubilee video and I got mixed opinions on it. On one side, we should raise them the same so they can go out and be independent/raised well. On the other hand, their are certain gender roles that you might want to teach each gender. Also you have to count islam into it. Thoughts?

No because they are not the same.

They are the same in the fact that they need stability, involved parents and good environment.

But boys need to be mentored by good men so that they can become good men.

Same for girls to be mentored and raised by good women to become good women.
