so somalis don't eat fish? wtf is this

No. Some apparently started to recently but it is looked down as part of a poor man's diet.

I was ridiculed when I ate a delicious fish in a Somali port city. It was a big no no in the early 2010s. One of my nomadic family members was no longer as warm to me as he usually was when I ordered it.

waxan waa brobaganda. seafood is halal and the only clans ik that were made untouchable is by somalis saying they ate bakhti

You have no clue how taboo it is to eat seafood in Somalia among the main clans. It's less taboo now but it's still shameful to do. Why do you think there is no fish cuisine among the Somalis despite having the longest coastline in Africa? Why is it only goat and camel that is known? Even eating chicken is frowned upon. I requested chicken instead of the red meats and I supposedly embarassed myself (but I had no feelings of shame. Why should I? )

it's common for somalis to eat kalun. there is even fish in baasto and baaris. there is a profession with catching fish. i can not imagine somalia having that much water and then deciding fish is ceeb. dagax brains lol

Yeah, in the west.

It's obvious you have never been to Somalia. I have been there countless times. Do you see how no one is disputing me? It's because everyone knows eating fish in Somalia is looked down upon, especially further away from the coastline.

I got annoyed more about them looking down on chicken. Chicken is the best meat to eat. I don't want disgusting camel muqmad. I want a nice chicken quarter.

You were not a nomad then. Aren't you HA? They are nomads and are guests in Hargeisa.
I'm a proud lo'doon.HA unlike other Isaaqs clans live a variety of different lifestyles depending on the subclan.I'm from a farming/cow herding clan while Biixi's Reer Samatar are herders in the Hawd and also the notorious Nuux Ismaciil merchants of Berbera. We as a clan probably have the most lifestyle diversity compared to other SL clans and many other Somali clans.

Many of the Isaaq camel herders whether other HA,Garxajis and others would travel to us during droughts. We would give them parts of our harvest in exchange for women :denzelnigga:
