Shocked to learn that there is lack of asalnimo in somali culture

sambusa-comes from south asia
macawiis-comes from south asia
dirac-possible yemeni origins
sabbayaad-yemeni origins
-30 percent of somali words come from arabic
-somali koofiyaad comes from oman/yemen
-the belt that somali men wear with their white clothes might come from yemen and oman

I am honestly hoping alindi is somali because I have seen some other people rock it too

and then waxan dhacnay carab dhiig through abtiris

Only 10% to 15% of Somali words are derived from arabic.

Most put it at 30 percent as average. A lot of the Arabic loan words have been Somalised so it’s untraceable unless you already speak Arabic.

That percentage is even higher in Somaliland where they basically speak an Arabic-Somali hybrid.

We grew Sorghum/Maize and other agricultural stuff. Not all of us were savage malnutriotion stricken camel herders. My ancestors farmed and owned cattle and tons of horses for war in our fertile plains :denzelnigga:

You were not a nomad then. Aren't you HA? They are nomads and are guests in Hargeisa.
