this is a video where the Sheikh discusses liberalism.
(btw the video title is referring to lgbt but the actual video talks a lot about liberalism in general... but obviously the lgbt thing is a pretty big part of the current version of liberalism)
I really recommend this Sheikh's channel.
For those of you living outside the West, maybe liberalism isn't all that relevant to you, depending on where you are. But for pretty much anyone living in the West where we are under a totalitarian liberal dictatorship, liberalism is a very relevant subject. It's all around us here in the West.
it is absolutely right for Muslims to be opposed to this evil ideology, to speak against it, to warn against it- and there is a big demand for material that is against it.
but... the answer is not to turn to some youtube celebrity like Ali Dawah or Haqiqatjou.... these people who lack Islamic knowledge. Sheikh Jalal Abualrub is the translator of Tafsir Ibn Kathir, Tafsir As-Sadi and also has written a big biography of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab where he refutes a lot of the propaganda against "Wahhabism".
I don't know if he's a scholar, I don't think he's a scholalr but Sheikh Jalal Abualrub is someone who really does have a lot of Islamic knowledge and he does a lot of videos where he discusses liberalism. So if you like so many of us in the West want to hear some content that's discussing liberalism and critiquing it, his videos are really good and they're from someone who really has a lot of knowledge and not just from some random youtuber who lacks the actual Islamic knowledge.
For us to critique liberalism, we need to know about liberalism, sure. But first we have to acquire the Islamic knowledge. And then from there we can really build a solid critique of it. And so this is a problem with a lot of the people on youtube who talk against liberalism but lack the Islamic knowledge.
