Shaykh Assim Al Hakeem on Sayyid Qutb's book

Assim al hakeem says: "Sayyid Qutb (May Allah have mercy on his soul) is not a scholar, he's not someone who has knowledge of aqeedah or fiqh, he's just someone who blooded; who feels a lot of enthusiasm towards Islam. He's a poet, he's articulate. He wrote this book and it has some benefits in it but it also has grave mistakes in it, there's no doubt in that because he's not knowledgeable. His intensions were pure, he's not a deviant in the sense that he calls people to his deviancy out of knowledge, he is simply not knowledgeable. What is the ruling? Should we read it? the answer is definitely no. As laymen, we should not come close to that book, only those with high knowledge can read it since they have the necessary knowledge to distinguish what is right and wrong, it's safer for you to stay away. I would not recommend anyone reads it because they can obtain real knowledge from (he mentions tafsir names)."
