Abdullahi Yusuf lost valuable time because of Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden who would not move though he was under huge pressure.

He politically outmaneuvered Abdullahi Yusuf and Yusuf had to sign a humiliating deal with him in Yemen facilitated by the late Abdalla Salah.

When he finally managed to remove him Sharif came back and the rest is history with Abdullahi Yusuf prematurely forced to leave and resign as TFG President.
