He's most definitely running, there is no way he would go throught all the trouble of the Facebook posts and addresses to the country if he wasn't looking for re election.
Also who do you think is even comparable to him. If there is one thing he is the undisputed champion of it's the people's heart. I stand by my original claim of Farmaajo being the most popular Somali politician in over a decade.
Unfortunately in SOM this counts for nothing. If we were a real democratic country I would be betting Faarmajo to win this election and the next 2 or three if he maintained his current standing.

Farmaajo is not popular he just rides off of the kacaan nostalgia some plebeian Somalis have, matter of fact there is no widely popular Somali politician.

Faarmajo had nothing to do with the Kacaan. Literally nothing.
He created his own popularity and his followers love him. The only other comparable figures is maybe Jaale Maxamed Siyaad Barre who had comparable popularity or even moreso in his heyday.
I didn’t say he had anything to do with it I said he taps into that kacaan nostalgia and rides off its coattails.
