Severe flooding in Baidoa ( Where is the FGS support)

There is currently severe flooding in Baidoa SWS due to el nino. People have been left homeless and many lives are being lost by the day.

Where is the FGS and why aren't they sending any support to the people of Baidoa/SWS. When there was flooding in Beledweyne a few years ago the president of Somalia visited and support/aid was sent to the region.

But it seems that in the case of baidoa there is nothing being done while many people are losing their homes due to flooding.

Bad situation all around country. Hearing water is full of sewage and waste. Matter of time before we have disease outbreak and major mosquito infestation if things not done quickly

It looks like Baidoa has the most severe situation atm. Other regions are starting to get bad as well.

How comes the fgs is quiet about this. They need to speak about this before it gets out of hand.

They do I think it’s too late to address root cause which is poor infrastructure, this is perfect storm that’s even overwhelming Ethiopia and Kenya who much better off.

but we have time to treat symptoms of this issue like disease. Need to relocate people and start spraying for mosquitos.

Relocation and aid is probably the most important thing we can do right now.
