Does anybody remember those bullshit rules we were taught in school, Dugsi, or the Mosque? BS like do the right thing, be nice to people, don't steal, be modest, love over money blah blah blah.

WTF ever happened to that crap? Now that I'm in the real world, nine times out of ten the people who are doing well in life are the ones who consistently break these rules or just act like they don't exist. The biggest example is Somali politicians, warlords and Musicians, even westerners are tought the same morals and principles just like us yet the once who don't give damn about these rules manage to achieve success in life.

For example, look at Kim Kardashian, this b1tch was An ex-hairdresser who slept with her famous boss' brother, Ray-J, released their sex tape and now her whole family are multi-millionaires who dominate mainstream media to the point that people actually care about WHATEVER they do and say.

Look at Trump, his grandfather was literally a Pimp whose use to sell women and got rich and his grandson Donald has Casinos and Wh@re houses and they awarded him with a presidency.

Samething with Sheikh Shariif who was a terrorist and had bloody past full of warfare and murder, Farmaajo also was a product of dictatorship and nepotism, he litterly benefited from atrocities and massacre of millions of Somalis and now is president of our country with thousands of blood under his belt already and still wants to run Somaliia.

I feel like being nice and following these dumb rules are just obstacles for someone to reach new heights, honest opinions guys.

Material success is not the only form of prosperity. It's true that you're at an advantage if you discard ethics in your pursuit of materialism, but I'd argue that you're also less likely to be happy.

Being nice and doing the right thing will make you happy. All the success and money in the world can’t buy that.

That is lie, being broke brings stress and depression, never seen a rich person who wants to be poor but I have seen plenty of poor folks who work 70 years everyday just to be rich or afford to pay for food and shelter.

Go ahead and do these things and see where you end up once you die.

Follow your beloved scientists into doing experiments start with a chair and rope.

You literally listed a few people, what about all the other people who experienced similar fortunes while being a moral people

as for the somali politicians just look at the state of our country and see what their shenanigans are going for them

Off topic, but what is this about Farmaajo? Can you elaborate?

Here is a short biography I wrote about him, you can read it on this thread.

I feel like people only follow certain rules when it’s convenient for them. For example, sometimes girls are friendly with me, but dismiss other girls in the same breath & it makes me not want to talk them anymore. People treat people nicely when they think they can potentially gain something & discard others who they deem “useless”

They can get away with their sins in this world but they will be held to account on judgement day. This world is temporary and won't last forever, the hereafter is more enduring.

“Instead, you prefer the life of this world; But the Hereafter is better and more enduring.” (Surah Al A'la, verse 16-17)

“And no moving (living) creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allah.” (11:6)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Richness is not the abundance of wealth, rather it is self-sufficiency.”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

You can chase after this duniya and what it has to offer but without the remembrance of Allah SWT you will always feel unhappy and continue to look for something new, to feel that empty void
