I LOVE THAT SHITI never understood this about Somali culture. You can go to weddings and see women wearing nothing but 'see-through dirac' and see her bras. But when the wedding is over, she's back to her hijab and abaya.
My polish neighbor was shocked after she attended the wedding. She always thought Somalis were modest. She said she couldn't imagine wearing that herself and she's a gaal.
Isn't it a huge jump, to go from modest clothing to see-through dirac all in one night? Wouldn't they feel some shame?
On a side note: I was told kacaan era women would stroll the suuq's with their see-through diracs and back then bras weren't as common, astaghfirullah. It was completely normal back then.

They wear bras underneath
It’s ceeb to wear only a bra under your dirac when there are also men. Tbh it does look good, but a bit too much to be wearing it like that in public.
