Second wife

I want to know your opinion on this subject. From Somali to Arab and Asian. Aside from cheating, money problems and whatever the other main ones are.


It's quick to destroy families and I've never seen it workout but when you hear stories about a man having a second wife being successful, it usually turn out the first wife is reliant on the husband financial or is locked in the marriage unable to leave or lost the will to fight.

Yet, one thing they all have in common is they resent the second wife and hate their husband. All is these men are righteous noble Iman in front of everyone then go do the most selfish action possible in secrecy. Also, I don't understand why all these guys expect everyone to follow through and accept a terrible deal.

Personally, I find marriage to be a big headache and If i found out my sisters were in situation or they were stuck, I'll fully support them to leave.

I made this topic because my of one of my oldest cousin going through this right now.

I wrote this quick and won't be back for quite long. So stay on topic guys.

Plus if it would make my first wife miserable and make her resent me ,then no deal ,because i would be asked about how I treated her by Allah and I definately don't want that to happen.

Personally monogamy seems to be better choice for imo, plus its less of a headache.

And if any lady out there sharing a man with another, I would advise them to leave. It is never a good sign for you when your husband has another partner. And I know that many woman will detest the idea of sharing a man with another.

Woman stuck in marriages also need to know that divorces are usually the beginning and never the end, there is no reason to stay with someone else you truly desire to.

No I wouldn't have a second wife. I'll only have one and form a family with her. I can't really imagine a reason for having a second wife, other than a need for sexual novelty in my honest opinion. If you just wanna bang, be a playboy and live your life. The moment I'm ready for marriage, I can't see myself being with more than one woman.

The only folks who keep saying marrying another woman is trouble are folks who probably can't afford it.

Marrying a second woman is not cheap. Which is why the quran specifically says if you can't be fair to all your wives then marry only one. The word only one implies that it is better you stick to one if you cant be fair.

But if you can be fair and provide equally then by all means go right ahead
