Hamas sucks, ppl don't know them well, but they are a dictatorship that was running Gaza for decades, and Israeli fascists viewed them as good evil, since they are stopping the unity of Palestinians. Do you know that Israel used to send pags full of money to Hamas, and that was huge scandal in Israel itself. In Gaza that couldn't happen, because the moment you say something wrong about Hamas, you disappear. Israel helped Hamas to come to power.

You and many ignorant around the world view them as freedom fighters and representative of the Palestinians, and the hype comes from there.

Same as the hype and support ppl are showing for Houthis, a fanatics backward religious militia, just because they through some rockets and done good deeds for the Palestinians doesn't wash off their atrocities.
