Wahabism was a necessary movement Idk why people are hating. Its better than worshipping shrines and spinning
I think we shouldShould Somalia follow suite in becoming secularist country? What are the benefits?
I'll never forgive those bastardsthem exporting wahabism just to be come liberal secularists lmao
You have never even read his work you dog. الله يرحم شيخ الإسلام محمد بن عبدالوهاب بسMuhammad Ibn Abdul Wahabb made Al Shabab look like moderates.
I must admit I don't know much about Wahabbism so I'm open to you and others on here sending me resources from different perspectives on what it is and its impact on different groups (both Islamic and foreign Western perspectives welcome) so I can learn, BUT assuming Wahabbism is as bad as people on this thread say, don't you think that the removal of kufr/shirk practices like shrine-worshipping could have been achieved without Al Wahhab's influence?Wahabism was a necessary movement Idk why people are hating. I think wahabbism gets too much bad rep. Wahabbism emerged as a result of too many people commiting shirk and being misguided. It just tells us to follow the quran and sunnah and not innovate which I strongly agree with. I think it was necessary in 18th century arabia and even more now in modern times where we have more fitna than everI must admit I don't know much about Wahabbism so I'm open to you and others on here sending me resources from different perspectives on what it is and its impact on different groups (both Islamic and foreign Western perspectives welcome) so I can learn, BUT assuming Wahabbism is as bad as people on this thread say, don't you think that the removal of kufr/shirk practices like shrine-worshipping could have been achieved without Al Wahhab's influence?

I knew you ball head would popout of nowhere defending them I actually can't believe normal human being functioning like this do they pay you money there is no way you and @Al Adnani are doing all of this for free. There's a difference of opinion on this matter, as long as the Alcohol is served to Non-Muslims visiting the country then its not that bad.
As for those hating on "Wahabism", keep crying you donkeys. Salafism & Arabism will reign supreme in Somalia.
It Seems The New Atatürk of The Arabs Is infact Mohamed Bin Salman
As I said, there is no movement called “Wahhabism.” They did not call themselves by that name. They gave them this name because of the hatred of some Western and Shiite critics for Imam Muhammad Abd al-Wahhab. They preferred to be called “Almohads” or people of the Salaf. This movement was necessary because if it had not taken place, the Arabian Peninsula would have turned into paganism. The imam’s principle was simple: demolishing graves, not praying over them, worshiping God Almighty, and refraining from heresies in religion, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah of the Prophet. I just finished listening/reading to this video carefully and I have a problem with his argument. He says Muslims cannot use "Wahhabi" as a negative political label (I can accept this, because Al Wahhab aimed to eliminate bizarre shirk practices) because "Wahhab" is one of the glorious names of Allah (SWT) so they must be mocking their own creator!id recommend listening to these lectures by some of the most esteemed scholars in our time
some of his books banned because this man was crazy
because Al Wahhab aimed to eliminate bizarre shirk practices)
According to the innovators, preaching against bid3a and idolatry is "extreme". They pick and choose what to believe may Allah guide thembtw I know this is a weird source but Cuban Wikipedia has an article on "Wahabism" that I think sums up "Wahhabism". Ideas like "don't pray to saints, don't practice bid'ah, don't do witchcraft".... are these really crazy new ideas that Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhab invented out of nowhere and that he came up with? is this "extreme" ideology? terrorism? radicalism? obviously, these are just ordinary beliefs. a lot of "anti-wahhabism" is from sufi, shia or liberal types who combat perfectly normal beliefs under the guise of "anti-wahhabism". anyways, here is the Cuban wikipedia summary of "wahhabism":
"The followers of Wahhabism see their role as the defenders of Islam , just as they see the need to restore the purity of an Islam apparently contaminated by innovations, superstitions, deviations, heresies and idolatry. There are many practices that are considered to go against Islamic tradition, such as:
- Invoke the name of the prophet, or a saint or an angel, in prayers. Only the name of Allah can be invoked.
- Suplicate at the tombs of saints or prophets.[
- Celebrate annual festivals for dead saints.
- Wear any form of talisman and believe in its healing powers.
- Practice magic or look to magicians or witchcraft or Wicca for sources of healing.
- Innovations in religion.
- Erect large monuments on graves.
- They do not celebrate the birth of Muhammad based on the interpretation of the Hadith.
- The Wahhabis prohibit cinema and music.
- Some even even photographs"
