NO. The government told the murusade army leaders to RETURN or else they'lll withdraw their support! This was a huge disappointment for the murusade clan because they took over wabxo so quick and were intending to prepared for ceelbuur.

first of all Murusade and Duduble didn’t do any U-turns. The federal gov failed them by not offering their full support unlike hirshabelle where the gov is very much present. Saleebaan and Duduble are going to attack xiindheere from qaayib down to ceelbuur. It’s been delayed because there is no danab gorgor or air support there unlike in hirshabelle. They have chosen to stop waiting and will attack soon. Murusade went to maxaas without their vehicles as the gov refused/stalled to airlift them. They also pulled out wabxo, eventually they got too tired of waiting and halyeey jacfar personally took them to maxaas by land from xamar. Galmudug clans way isku tashteen no more waiting for support from xamar. You don’t need to question sacad’s seriousness in the war against AS our land is free for a reason

Apologies I take that back looking back. It was a smart move to retreat as they had no support from any direction. They were indeed told to withdraw as it would have been a suicide mission attacking Galgaduud on their own

I don't understand why the government are supporting hirshabeelle but not Mursade. It's starting to look like someone is trying to hinder progress in their regions

Trust me it was best for mursade to retreat. It isn’t that the goverment isn’t supporting you guys but that this offensive is going by phase. Galgaduud is going to be attacked simultaneously by 5 fronts with mursade attacking from maxaas - wabxo front. Only this time they will have pressure eased of them by the other 3 fronts

There are murusade and duduble in al Shabab, just like there are majerteen, isaaq, Ogden, habar Gidir, abgal , rahaweyne and the WHOLE of the somali tribes.

Unfortunately, they have a tight hold within the murusade and duduble populated areas in galguduud which makes them victim to al shabab's doctrine.
