with the final nail in the coffin of a greater SSC, khatumo only has 4 districts; Las Anod, Xudun, Talex in Sool and Buhodle in Togdheer.

Not enough for a state, especially not another unnecessary Darod state.

The creation of Khatumo is a must but without foolish politicians who so easily falls under enemy influence.

whoever controls caasimada controls the gobol and galmudug technically has control over galkacyo (2 mayors). SSC is trying to do the same thing in ceerigaabo to assert legitmacy over sanaag, karaash himself said it will be divided between harti and isaaq like galkacyo. this is the only way ssc can "fulfill" the constitution like GM, through a slim technicality.

she is asking if cayn is another gobol involved in the SSC project, which is why i replied saying cayn is not even a gobol to begin with. dhulbahante control 3/4 districts in sool, 0 in sanaag and buhoodle in togdheer which you claim as "cayn"

Looks like it's a tough decision for the FGS. If they accept ssc, which is only one gobol from what I gathered in this thread, then it sets a precedent for hiraan and gedo to follow. If it doesnt work out they can just join puntland which isn't a bad outcome ngl.

The supreme court will strike it down after HSM declares it. If Hiiran state benefits HSM he would declare it, MPs aren’t following the constitution. Banaadir would be a bad idea for them because they rule it now and dont need/want a parallel admin.

to have claim to a region you must control the capital or atleast have presence in it, the capital of togdheer is burco which they will never control. 95% of togdheer is not inhabited by darood which is why they only claim buhoodle

fms and fgs will keep butting heads, its best we stay neutral. my opinion we need to work with federal govt to get funding and our troops aborbed and salarys paid for as i see no end to cold war. would much rather have couple hundred troops salaries paid for, than 4 extra state mps who i have no idea what they even do for us in first place with ones we have. at least with our federal minsiters like Duran i know projects and funds they help with

if that happens top of the list will be banadir being state which the most populous region in somalia. HSM been promising that for a while but also comes with headache of capital status
