What I don't understand is London had 204 homicides in 2003 and 2006 - 2011 still had a higher homicide rate than now. Things started improving in 2012 until 2015 when it went up again but 100 homicides for a population of 10m people is not a lot. There hasn't been this much hysteria about the violence in London in the past as much as now. I think the media has a part to play in fearmongering and some people with an agenda want to paint a certain picture.
