The French are notorious for refusing to let go of their territories.
Thankfully the only territories the French (and the British) have are tiny-ass islands in the Pacific and Atlantic.

How come no-one talks about this? Colonialism is universally seen as a bad thing by many people, but the French still have colonies.

Strange indeed. Its a low population and the people haven't called for independence yet so I'm guessing that's why no one has said anything.

The Dutch have a few colonies but they count it as being part of the Netherlands rather than an overseas territory like the Falklands Island

Falkland Islanders came to hug the British and brought roses and food for them when they arrived for the war.
