Saddam Hussein - Why was he hated by some of his people?

He's the reason why Kurds hate Arab he used chemical weapons on them search the anfal campaign he killed about 50,000 Kurds.

He's also hated by some Shia because there was rarely any Shia in the government even though there were more shias than sunnis in the country. Saddam trusted the Christians more than the Shia.

He was an authoritarian ruler, so it should be self-explanatory that they were people who were against him.

Kurds were hardcore anti-Saddam. Part of it due to his Arabization and regressive policies. Though, mainly the 'Anfal campaign' where he intended to wipe Kurdish rebels in 1988, only ended with him committing atrocities of great scale against civilians and Kurds being driven out of their homes.

Saddam literary killed two of his son-in-laws for being part of his political opposition. You can imagine what he did with those he was not related to.

From my experience, Iraqis that support him are no different from Somalis who support Siad Barre or Libyans who support Muammar Gaddafi. When you look at the state of Somalia, Iraq or Libya today, there are people who are reminiscent of the past.

Obviously, this doesn't include those who were targeted when they were in power. But despite their harsh rule, a significant part of their population enjoyed relative peace/stability and had decent lives. The removal of their leaders resulted in displacements, deaths, and violence on a much greater scale than before and subsequently the destruction of their countries. So people look back at the good ol' days.

Look at Iraqi Christians for instance, most of them lived regular lives like most other Iraqis and were not bothered due to their faith. Today only a fractions (less than 20%) of them remain in the country due to the various conflicts, but especially after the religious wars + D*aesh. It all depends on who you ask.

That was because of the kurds giving cover for the iran even while the Iraq-Iran war was happening kurds never know who to support because of their own ambitions that's why they always support and betray afterwards which always puts them at a less advantaged position

Again that's got to do with the Shia being sympathisers of Iran while sunnis largely opposed

At first Iraq was open to introduce kurdish language and the culture more into their schools and day to day life right until the kurds betrayed him by secretly conspiring with iran

It wasn't only Kurdish that was banned, but also extended to Turkmen, Yazidi, Assyrians, Armenias etc. who were affected by his Arabzation policies.

This started prior to the Iraq-Iran wars. By the 70s, several hundreds of thousands of Kurds were told to leave their ancestral land and settle in other parts of Iraq.

The shia(twelvers) have worked with the America and Russian against the muslims in Iraq Afghanistan and Syria. They are nearly the same to the zionist when it comes to fitna and oppression.

Look at the aftermath of when he turned both the Shias and Kurds (majority of Iraqs population) into his oppositions. Today those two are the ruler of Iraq, while Sunnis and Christians are side-lined.

If he was clever, he should've kept them close without giving them too much influence. But alas, his own actions led to his downfall.

Why did that happen. Use your brain. Look at how the arabs your dck riding are. Their cousins getting massacred and they watch. Why did the houthis rebel? Maybe because the clowns in charge before we're corrupt to the core (corrupt = shithole). Even though houthis are retards, they actually fought against the West instead of clapping their cheeks like most arabs do. Even now they are the reason hmas actually made a break though. The arabs your so fond of in dik riding betrayed themselves and their own brethren. Modern day arabs fell off. Thats why you see khanis people, conserts in holy land, Liberalism and other western ideals. Somalis fed these people when they starved. What have they done for us? Apart from fund clan states like SL and PL.

The palestinian issue a moral and logically human issue. Things yahuud cant fathom.

How did that turn out for the arab sunnis in the end they are now discriminated and not trusted by the Shia government because they are sunnis. And the kurds in the north because they are Arab. They are only a majority in one of 18 provinces of Iraq.

At this point, it's clear that Sunnis will probably never reign Iraq again. It's in their interest to ally with Kurds, to push for more autonomy and federalization of the country into three parts between Kurds, Sunnis and Shias, so they at least can govern their regions without interference.
