what is it with people and their assumptions of single mothers not being able to raise their child right? A lot of somali men are absent fathers these days. If wasn't so bad when I was young, I was only one of the few kids that had an absent father because I grew up with kids born in the 90s. But a lot of kids born in 00s and 10s have absent fathers tho.

just because I state the truth doesn't mean I'm anti somali men. I grew up with male cousins and uncles who love me very much. I don't hate somali men nor do I have an agenda against them. Personally I want to marry one. I'm just saying that there is a community problem when it comes to absent somali fathers. Granted that we are starting to see a bit of a shift with the younger disporia somali men starting to be hands on fathers. However the amount of absent fathers is still quite high. We aren't just like the madows yet, but if this continues after a few generations we'll be just like them.
