That's my father said also, he said nimankas naago badan bay guursadan in reference to reer mahad. Wax kastana waa iska waasan. I never asked him well why don't we do the same in the past in bari and nugaal. I guess u explained it, we didnt have many camels. It's got some truth because sheeps and goats are far more numerous in that area then camels. When-ever I go to a function for PL in the diaspora, I am tellling u bruv, 70% are always omar mahmuds. I was like WTF. That's when it sunk in for me, we are not largest clan in MJ. All that hawd area which I say stretches to galgaduud, it's really apart of the DDSI, even the sands look the same they are very large clans and largest clans of Somalia.

Wacaysle he is largest in abgaal and settles those areas also mudug-galgaduud zone, hg also do, mj also do, hy also do, ogaden also do. It's basically the largest clans of all Somalia today.

I can't speak for MJ since I haven't seen the statistics but Dhulo + Warsan camels combined were less than that of the HY British Somaliland camels.

Again this according to britsih colonial officers who never came to the Warsangeli sultanate and did their estimates from hargeysa. Also forgot that a good portion live in bari as well. Can't really trust it

That stuff from the past colonial stats were given to the colonials by their 'hench-men' obviously who-ever their henchmen were would bloat up their own figures and lower other clans. No way those numbers are any way close.
Also grandfather said they only monitored those who paid jizyah. So no coming to Warsangali or Dhulbahante.
