To keep your balance, you must keep moving.
As of now Biden is openly ignoring Erdogan and Netanyahu. All three haven't spoken to each other since Biden's election.
After the Azeri-Armenian settlement, Putin made his second concession to Erdogan by putting a muzzle on the Arab leaders vis-a-vis Libya and allowing the inter-Libyan reconciliation to take place. Erdogan was able to maintain his grip on Tripoli and extend it to Benghazi. All new Libyan players are favoring Turkey despite protests and demands the likes of Macron.
Aquila Saleh and Haftar are clear losers here.
Now Russia expects Turkey to make concessions in Syria and help it squeeze the US out of that country. Putin views the YPG Kurds as spoilers and agents of the US in Syria.
The main problem for Putin is the fact that Erdogan believes in NATO despite his problems with the West. Erdogan has a strong grip of Georgia and refuses to accept the annexation of Crimea by Russia from Ukraine. This Black Sea situation is a real headache for Russia as Turkey has stronger Navy than Russia in the Black Sea.
Overall, Erdogan is not predictable and is known to go against the grain so to speak. Putin has a long way to go in order to woo Turkey away from the Western Bloc. And the Middle East seems to be a perfect theater for that given Turkey's Neo-Ottoman aspirations.
