Russia conquered Bakhmut

Ukraine made a strategic blunder when they contested every meter in Bakhmut. Russians had the aerial and artillery advantage. And the end result has been Ukraine losing its best trained and better experienced forces in that town.

The Ukrainian heroism was remarkable, but with the forces they committed there, they could've used them to open at least 2 or 3 other fronts, and forced the Russians to overstretch their supply lines.

As for Russians, they let the dying and dirty work done by a mercenary force - the Wagner group. This has preserved the best Russian forces for other missions.

6 months for a village.

Look at the casualty rate! The US govt advised Zelensky to preserve the forces he was committing there and carry out gradual withdrawal while Ukrainians prepare for a major offensive in the spring. He let his ego dictate over his wisdom and generals. He's now lost the town and the tens of thousands men.

Ukrainians and russians speak the same language, same religion and matter of fact the russian ethnicity and identity was born in modern day Ukraine. This war is essentially just a civil war, these slavs were hoodwinked by anglo-germanic folks kkkkk.
