The presidents of Galmudug, Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoor Qoor his South West State counterpart and Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen have taken the role of mediators to find a
solution the wrangle between President Mohamed Farmajo and his Prime Minister Mohamed Roble.

The two met with Farmajo and Roble separately, and urged both parties to refrain from further action that would escalate the tense situation.

Reports indicate that the president and the prime minister have accepted the mediation, although each has developed conditions attached to the talks.

Prime Minister Roble insisted that Commander Bashir Goobe was the commander of NISA, and President Farmajo emphasized that the steps taken by the Prime Minister were invalid.

The meeting is expected to continue on Friday. The two presidents are hopeful that the two top officials will finally be reconciled so that their differences do not affect the election process.

The intervention comes amidst heightened political tensions between Farmajo and Roble which could threaten the fragile security of the Horn of Africa nation.

first of all who is asking what from someone. all i see is rooble asking farmaajo while farmaajo is saying NO. if rooble was the boss he would not ask he would command. why does rooble need farmaajo's agreement of who is security minister and who is head of NISA if Rooble words are law?

on the other hand farmaajo does not need Rooble's agreement about security minster nor Head of NISA. Farmaajo just wants election and rooble is trying to use that card, hence the negoitation going on now. but farmaajo has the Parliament on his side and at any moment can oust the PM. Rooble is banking on Farmaajo not doing that move, but Rooble is playing a dangerous game and if this negotiation does not work then he will be ousted.

The time for ousting has ended on 8 Feb 2021. He had full authority anytime before that.

Do you think Rooble is dumb to get duped by two men Farmaajo hired? Both men aren't even highly respected by their regions, this is a move for the sake of optics, Rooble weligiis go'aan kama laabto.

Dont you get it Rooble can keep naming ku-meel-gaadh ministers with real control over their ministries while the Amisom parliament is prorogued. Assuming he has almost all Haawiye/SNA/police behind him, he can physically block parliament from making unfavorable announcements. The only options for MrCheese are making adequate concessions, wait for a favorable ruling from the high court led by the Isaaq fugitive larping as Dir, or wait until Mr Cheese gets reelected reselected.

HG has its own power sharing and cannot disrupt it. Whatever happens to Qoorqoor, his seat is a Saleban seat as long as the PM is Sacad
