Shamis isn't gedo girl. Gedo girl is a weirdo shamis is quite cool. We shall see though. Coz gedo girl has psychotic spells and so far shamis had none. Also gedo is quite religious when she's on her meds and totally the opposite when she isn't.

As Carré mentioned on the first page, this is fiction though. It's an excerpt from a book so I don't know why people think it's a real story.
Bro, I'm telling you. This entire trend we're speaking about might have been common back in the mid-2000's, but there's no way it happens anymore. I remember back in 2005, it was a huge trend to talk about---where Somali women were seemingly marrying AA's and Jamaicans in increasing numbers. Now, you won't see such a thing today in 2015 simply because of the severe consequences of this trend. There are a LOT of Somali single mothers in North America who have half-Madow children and then ended up divorced within 1 year of being married. Somalis have wised up a lot since then, and won't be making these hasty decisions that could have permanent consequences.

The story later spirals down with the woman meeting another man and getting happily married, while the young man had gotten another woman pregnant and had many other issues to deal with. The young man had even approached the woman even though she was already married, and asked if he could have an affair with her.

I find these stories very interesting. The differences on how romantic relationships work back home and in the diaspora is what these interviews are trying to convey. Most of the people in the interview are from the diaspora, and trying to integrate into this new society and have the romantic relationships in the west like how they wanted back home, would bring problems of their own.
So instead of fighting about whether the young lady was MJ or not, or whether these stories are real or not, how about we look at what these stories are really trying to tell us instead?
