Rich resources

Somalis are too low iq to see the bigger picture, instead of being Qabilist you could be nationalist and see a bigger picture ahead of you. We could actually become a super power if only we had good leaders who would think outside of the box and would do something for their people. there isn't any hope for this people when those who live in the western and have access to education still have the same mindset as those who live back home.
better yourself to better a nation.

unfortunately Somali land is not as rich in resources as a lot of people would like you to believe.
some of you need a truthpill.

we could still become a stable country even if we don't have too much resources. We got the ocean, we got the wind, we can still do better than this

Even if we exclude fossil fuels and minerals , there is an enormous potential for Somalia when it comes to renewable energy which is the future of energy.

I do not expect Somalia to become anything close to a superpower before the 22nd century.
Big in natural resources and poor in rational thinking people.
We could also say that Antarctica could become a Superpower because of natural resources also but it doesn't change the fact that it won't happen.

Don’t say that. Somalia is more ahead than most think. Even whilst being war torn we score better than most African countries in poverty rates and on average live better than most. Only issue Somalia has rn is security and politicians, once we get rid of those two issues and play things right, expect an economic boom.

People tend to discard the position were in here, a huge percentage of somalis are diasporans who are educated, even back home there is an established middle class, average property and land prices in places like Mogadishu and hargeisa can be as high if not higher than that of developed countries, in africa and the Middle East somalis dominate the business sector where were known for our hustling skills. The tallest sky scrapper in kenyan history is now being built in Nairobi by a somali man with primarily somali investors

its easier to influence the people as right than ever, if we could have 100 nationalist mfs who can change the people mind through social media we could start a whole ass revolution. working being done inside, exposing what the government is doing and more.

Where did you get your data from (poverty rate)? Because the government of Somalia can't release this data since it doesn't even know the population of it's own country.
Somalia will never get rid of there corrupt and tribal politicians in the short term (20 years), you already see that in countries that are more 20+ years ahead like Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana etc... are struggling with corruption, even richer countries like Brazil and Mexico.
Your gonna wait decades before corruption and tribalism are completely annihilated.

Sure the diaspora is doing good (I'm talking about the ones in Africa, it's a whole other topic in the West), but other than donation it's very rare for a member of the diaspora to comeback. And I don't think that a few thousand members of diaspora can lift a million people out of poverty. Instead we see segregation, the diaspora are living in big beautiful houses in gated communities while the majority live in ghettos.

Edit: 90% of somalispot users are part of the diaspora, a poll was made a few months ago to determine who wants to go back, and the majority didn't want to. I also believe that many people who said they would comeback were probably teenagers who just wanted to see their homeland for the first time. But a lot of people change their mind when they put their feet on the country.
